2007 Annual Reunion |
On April 28, 2007, the Austin High School Classes of 1948 and 1949 held their annual Reunion at the Senior Activity Center in Austin, Texas. Approximately 150 people dined on Smoky Mo's BBQ and danced to music by the Jim Gough and the Rhythm Wranglers. Additional entertainment was provided by the Classy Ladies and Dazzlin' Dames dance groups followed by a sing-along led by Barbara Davis and Joe Miles. Bill Gainer served as Emcee and introduced 1948 Class President David Blackstock who welcomed the group. He announced that plans are being made for a more elaborate 60th Anniversary Reunion next year. Doodie Gault Lawler, Chairman of the Reunion Committee, rose to thank her committee members for their hard work. Glenn Rogers gave an Invocation.
Floral arrangements for each table were provided by Nelda Moore.
